One of the things I love about business is how flexible things are, and how everything is just negotiation.
Recently, I had the opportunity to turn a cold email (on my current Employer’s email address – [email protected]), asking for sponsorship for Kshitij – IIT Kharagpur’s annual fest (Kshitij’s official website is usually down).
I turned that into an opportunity for Talent Branding – Kshitij is the annual Techno management symposium of IIT Kharagpur, started in 2004, and it’s Asia’s largest techno-management symposium. It invites guest lectures from all over the world at the levels of –
- Mr Ajay Kumar (Defense Secretary of India)
- Mr Scott Augenbaum (Retired FBI Agent and Cybercrime Keynote Speaker)
- Mr. Jürg Fröhlich (Swiss Mathematician)
- Mr Edward Boyden (American Neuroscientist at MIT)
- Mr Kiran Mani (Google MD)
- Mr. K Radhakrishnan (Former chairman ISRO)
I cannot share all the details due to confidentiality purposes and work contract and ethical considerations, but what I can share is:
- Exotel provided X number of SMSes to Kshitij, to allow SMS communication to participants, by IIT Kharagpur’s fest organizing committee.
- Kshitij provided the below:
- Exotel will be mentioned on the Sponsor page of Kshijit for 5 years as a Conversation Partner.
- Exotel’s banners were displayed on IIT Kharagpur’s Campus for 3 days during the fest.
- Souvenirs will be sent to IIT Kharagpur’s world-wide Alumni network with Exotel branding.
- A case study will be done on the same.
Here are 4 public images from the fest:
